So I inquire, how important are you dreams supposed to be?
If a loved one attempts to live your dream to you accept it with full support?
Certainly since they're pursuing their interests you as an ally should be in their corner.
Unfortunately I'm extremely flawed, I harbor a resentful attitude and extreme doubt I just wish that I could eloquently articulate my disdain and skepticism. I feel as though my goals and dreams are being made a farce but who am I to judge what dedication is or to measure the importance of someones elses goals. My biggest flaw might be my struggle for individuality, superficially I can do just about anything to set my self apart from anyone else but at my core I 'm simply a youth trying to find my path just because I pioneered a thought or feeling doesn't make it any more credible than anyone elses.

As a resolve I remain quietly skeptic but ready to aid those who would do the same for me.
I've been at the bottom its fucking lonely

Late Novemeber!!

I know I've been off my game for a while now right? "What's the situation Tristan you left us at a cliffhanger!" Well for starters I did make it to University yeah I'm at McMaster and I gotta say I pretty much fucking hate it. You never know what you've got till it's gone as they say and truely I didn't, Toronto is big and loud and smelly and fuck it's even sometimes dangerous. But its my city and I hate being away from it I'm barely floundering through classes and I'm just not motivated as a whole so I hope no one expects me back next year.

So that is the most current issue now on to some better news, I decided to start a rap career, yeah. I hate even saying that because the idea of being a musician for a living is right up there with with the pull out method , just dumb. But I'll stick with it; my friends and I formed a group flowNsubstance and we are dedicated to making the best music we possibly can. We are diverse both in ethnicity and hip hop styles haha who ever heard of a rap group featuring a Jamaican, Korean and a Tamil dude certainly not me. Mohan and Daniel are really introspective rappers they have a lot to say and lessons to teach I on the other hand just want to have fun and make music for everyday life, something you can just ride your bike to while you're on your way to the store. The upside to our differences is that we can reach a wider variety of audiences and on top of that I produce beats that match their type of rhymes...yup I make beats on top of rapping. This has been 6 months of hard work and I'm proud of what we've accomplished but don't think it's anywhere near over. We're recording this weekend and I promise this blog will see evidence of that!

Stay up guys
I'm sorry for keeping you waiting

Arty up in hurr!

SO besides music and fashion I like things that RELATE to music and fashion. I'm not an art-head by any means, but I gotta say these two artists peek my interest. Welcome to my ideals of art, simple and unique.

Parra
My first artistic offering comes from French artist and fashion designer Parra. Parra is coupled with Rockwell clothing and Lele. Le Le features Parra on both it's album artwork and music videos. (I highly recommend Breakfast)Parra pushes the borders of vulgarity featuring cartoonish characters performing the sexually deprived and the simply bizarre. I'm not sure what my attraction to Parra is possibly my Freudian fixation on sex, but if I had the money I would gladly buy one of the pictures. For now however I'll have to settle for a T-shirt.
Parra
Bonne Nuit!

WEKILLYOU
WKY is a Toronto based art company that I have the pleasure of discussing. WKY focuses mainly on simplicity and mass appeal, WKY is marketed for those who collect vinyl toys or enjoy small figurines. Besides art and figurines WKY sells apparel and skate and surf gear featuring their logo.(scary face)I haven't mentioned WKY's connection to music yet, their connection is a close friendship with The Carps WKY has designed Jahmal's(Drummer)kick drum and the bands logo Tees. IF you don't have the money for Parra or are looking to support LOCAL TALENT I definitely suggest WEKILLYOU

Hope you all enjoyed my latest art picks hopefully I'll find something new and exciting to keep ya'll reading until then

Supra Skytop Fall Release

Supra Skytops have made a huge splash in 08 after recieving the Lil'Wayne stamp of approval, continuing into 09 Supra releases the fall colourways for the skytops the fall series features a cracked leather black and white model and a West Indian inspired offering.

The black while offering a worn feel don't leave much to the imagination, Supra has released more than it's fair share of black skytops and by adding a beat up shoe to the equation one must ask themselves before buying"Why don't I just skate the shit out of the skytops I have right now?" However if you're looking for a durable shoe to wear with your black skinny jeans and Extra small hot topic tee's this would be it. (Not judging, just saying)

The rasta-top as I like to call it takes shiny to another level, which appeals to any flashy thug walking the streets. Not much could be said beyond the obvious for this shoe besides the fact that unless you're carrying the African flag around everywhere...WHAT ARE YOU MATCHING THESE WITH???

Bottom line
Save your money ladies and gents The TK Society are a better buy and if you have more patience than that wait for the upcoming Skytop 2

Toronto's own THUNDERHEIST

Okay so Thunderheist is a Canadian electro duo and they releast the video for their single "Nothing 2 step 2" which is totally awesome I love the minimalist appeal of it, it's simple yet fun. My point however isn't that you should watch the video, the point is that you need to go see them live. I was on youtube when I came across a flawless live version of Nothing 2 Step 2 the gigantic beer mugs in the performance or Isis wearing a pork pie hat probably swayed my judgment but still SO GOOD
